The Nite Lite website looks SO much better! I am glad to see that it is active. I haven't been in a play with Nite Lite for a good number of years (I was in Dearly Departed; Hello, Dolly!; and Once Upon A Mattress and was co-director of a play whose name escapes me when I moved to Memphis). I really miss the fun of being in the plays with Nite Lite. I am back in Martin now, working at UTM, but unfortunately don't have to the time to try out for plays anymore.
I was part of Nite Lite in the midst of moving to The Space.
I look forward to coming down for some of your plays in the future. I can't believe it has been 10 years since I last performed.
Y'all are LOOKING GOOD!

Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for the Internet. Where else can previous Nite Liters get in here and swap stories of old?
I can't expect the old guard to continually be part of this affair, but I sure am glad to see alumns come back to shows. Berlynne's latest directoral work was Smokey Joe's Cafe, and it was an outstanding piece in so many regards. It's a definite revival piece in about three years, and one we'll strongly look at by 2010 or 2011. Of course, she had to deal with me in the cast, so she's recuperating nicely now.
But the reason I brought it up is because it really showed what a tiny community theatre project can do. I hated the music at first, but I LOVED the show by the time the run completed, and didn't want it to go away.
That's showbiz, I guess. Thanks for taking your walk down memory lane with us, and keep reading our exploits!

Of course it would be successful if Berlynne directed it! I wisih I had seen it. I also wish Martin wasn't so far away because I really would love to do more plays. I miss doing them very much. I see Diane Shaw frequently because she and I both work at UTM.
I have the same feelings about Dearly Departed that you seem to have about Smokey Joe's Cafe. I am going to have to keep paying attention to what is going on with Nite Lite so I can at least come see the productions.
Thanks for responding, Eric and break a leg!

From a New Nite-Lite-ite to an old one, I welcome you to the board and ask that you don't be a stranger.
Please come around more often, on the board and in person.

Aw, thanks! I just finished my first draft of a new piece I'm working on. Seven Degrees and Sunny. It's far more satisfying than Law and disOrder was at this stage of the game. So, maybe it will develop into something cool. I appreciate your comment, especially considering the source.

Hi,
I am another former Nite Liter. Of course, it was a long time ago (the last show I was in was Anything Goes when I was in high school). I still perform from time to time here in Chicago, and I was excited to find the website and see the shows that you guys have been doing. Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
Filonna Thomas

By the way, Filonna, I did notice your post. I've just been terrible about responding.
Fact is, we're very pleased to see this old theatre group continue to thrive, change its guard, and keep on keepin' on. It's so pleasing to hear people step up from the world's community, and learn about what they once knew in Trenton.
Thanks for visiting!
